BeTenant is operated by Avanta Apps s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic (IČO 297 84 310), registered office at Sokolská 1883/8, Nové Město, 120 00 Praha 2. These Terms govern your use of the BeTenant mobile application, website, and all related services (together, "the Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use BeTenant.

To use BeTenant, you must:
BeTenant is exclusively for tenants. Use of the Service by landlords, letting agents, property management companies, or any person acting on behalf of a landlord is prohibited and may constitute a breach of these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your login details confidential.
You must not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission.
Notify us immediately at terms@betenant.com if you suspect your account has been compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
You own all content you create and upload to BeTenant — photographs, issue notes, evidence logs, and any other materials ("Your Content").
By using the Service, you grant BeTenant a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Your Content for advertising, sell it, or share it with landlords, letting agents, or third parties — except as described in our Privacy Policy and your explicit use of the app's export features.
You are responsible for the accuracy of content you submit. Do not submit false or misleading information.
BeTenant generates formal letters and PDF evidence reports based on information you provide. These documents are drafted to reflect applicable housing law at the time of generation.

Ren is an AI guidance tool, powered by xAI's Grok model, that answers questions in plain English about renting in England and points you to the right BeTenant tool for your situation.
You must not use BeTenant to:
BeTenant offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected.
During the beta period, founder pricing is locked at the rate you sign up at for as long as your account remains active.
Card payments through our web / PWA app are processed by Stripe; purchases made through the Google Play app are processed by Google under Google Play's terms. We never see or store your full payment card details.
You can cancel your subscription in the app under Account → My Subscription → Plans, or — for Google Play purchases — in your Google Play Store account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial or unused periods, except where required by law.
Important — Google Play billing is separate from BeTenant. Cancelling or deleting your BeTenant account does not stop a Google Play subscription, and you may continue to be charged by Google until you cancel it in Google Play. Always cancel a Google Play subscription before deleting your account. If you paid through our web / PWA app (Stripe), deleting your account stops Stripe billing.
We reserve the right to change pricing for new subscribers with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
BeTenant is currently in beta. This means:
We aim to maintain high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We will notify users of planned maintenance in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time in Account → Plans (scroll to the bottom and press Delete account) — you do not need to contact us. When you do, we immediately log you out and lock the account, and schedule permanent deletion after a 30-day grace period. If you sign in during those 30 days, you'll see a lock screen confirming that permanent deletion is scheduled; pressing Cancel Deletion stops the countdown and restores full access to your account. After 30 days, deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.
Subscriptions and deletion. If you delete your account while you have an active Pro subscription (monthly or annual), you forfeit that subscription and any remaining paid time, and we do not provide refunds, except where required by law. Because Google Play billing is separate from BeTenant, deleting your account does not stop a Google Play subscription — cancel it in Google Play first, or you may continue to be billed by Google (see Section 9).
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. We will give notice where possible, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the security of our systems or other users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email and in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you have mandatory rights to bring proceedings elsewhere under applicable law.
